Bruna Soares Thompson

My name is Bruna Soares Thompson, LCSW. I have been practicing as a children's mental health therapist for nine years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Psychology and Social Behavior from UC Irvine, a Masters in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles, and I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California in 2018.

Additionally, I am a Train of Trainer for Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), have received certification in Managing and Adapting Practices, and am trained in Alternatives for Families Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also became a Registered Play Therapist in 2023. My approach to counseling is behavior-focused. My specialties are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I do in person sessions in Manhattan Beach, California.
