Yoko Shibata Counseling

Dr. Yoko is a licensed psychologist specializing in providing evidence-based therapy for children and young adults and consultation services for caregivers. She also has 15+ years of experience as a school psychologist in public schools. In her work, she is guided by the belief that children and families are brilliant and beautiful. She aims to support and facilitate their transformative agency, particularly clients from diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Yoko provides therapy utilizing behavioral and cognitive-behavioral techniques and gradual exposure for children/teen who struggle with selective mutism.

Dr. Yoko has personal experiences as a mother of a child with selective mutism. She is passionate about providing hands-on support for parents of children with selective mutism.
