Rachel Rapp, M.S. CCC-SLP
Having experienced SM herself growing up, Rachel has empathy and passion for helping her clients who are struggling with communication. Prior to becoming a speech-language pathologist, Rachel worked in corporate communications in New York City. After working at the NYU Child Study Center's intensive treatment program for children with SM, she knew this was the field for her.
Rachel specializes in speech-language therapy for children and adolescents with selective mutism in San Francisco and via telehealth throughout California and New York. Rachel believes therapy should be fun and engaging, and values continued collaboration with each child's family and care team, which is essential to affecting meaningful change outside the therapy room.
Rachel has worked with children, adolescents and adults across the lifespan in private practice, schools, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers. She completed her clinical training in speech-language pathology at UCSF and Social Thinking® - Stevens Creek.
Rachel received her Master’s Degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Oregon and her undergraduate degree from Indiana University at Bloomington.
