Dr Carly Orenstein has been a psychologist for over 15 years. Her many years as a school psychologist has provided her with an extensive background in psychological testing, child study team case management, learning disabilities, and classroom interventions for academic and behavioral issues. That combined with Dr Orenstein’s background in a therapeutic private practice with children and adolescents can deliver her expertise to your family and your child’s school too.

Dr. Orenstein has had a great deal of experience with selective mutism. She frequently provides family therapy to patients with selective mutism, as well educates schools (both child study team members and teachers) about selective mutism. Dr Orenstein has led a variety of social skills and parenting groups both in the schools and in the private practice realm. She frequently lectures to both professional and non-professional groups on a variety of topics including selective mutism.
