Patsy holds a Master's Degree in Counseling and Psychology from the University of St. Mary's Minnesota and is a licensed clinical counselor in the state of Minnesota. She is passionate about helping children and adolescents acquire tools and skills to mitigate the effects of selective mutism across various domains. Parents are integral partners in the treatment team. Patsy believes in building strong relationships to increase confidence and self-efficacy in an effort to uncover resilience children and their families. Patsy uses an integrated approach that blends strengths with humor and a playful approach. She adds components of parent-child interaction, cognitive behavioral strategies, exposure therapy, and social communication strategies in order to help individuals and families discover their own unique approach for learning to tolerate distress and overcome anxiety.
