Denise Kinser, LCSW

Denise Kinser resides in Charlotte North Carolina with her husband and two children. She has her Masters of Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill and is a therapist in a small private practice, specializing in social anxiety and selective mutism.

One of Denise’s children was diagnosed with SM at age three and she quickly learned that local professionals had no experience or very limited knowledge of this condition. Many years later, Denise is passionate about educating others about SM, reducing stigma and making treatment accessible to families. Denise remembers the moment she first read about SM (on this very website) and is pleased for the opportunity to be a part of such an important organization.
