Taylor Hicks-Hoste, PhD, LP, NCSP
Thriving Minds
Dr. Taylor Hicks-Hoste is passionate about promoting positive mental health for children, teens, and their families. Her primary focus is treating anxiety-based disorders, including selective mutism, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy and exposure-based strategies. Having worked as both a school psychologist with students grades K-12, and as a licensed psychologist in a private practice, she understands the importance, and value, of establishing strong partnerships between a child's family and his/her teachers. A team approach is often the most effective (and fun!) way to help a child or teen grow their bravery and meet their personalized goals for growth.
Dr. Hicks-Hoste has received specialized training in the treatment of Selective Mutism, and has worked as a lead therapist at the Thriving Minds Confident Kids Camp (CKC) since 2017. She also is the director of Confident Kids Advanced Camp (CKaC). Dr. Hicks-Hoste has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Selective Mutism Association (SMA) since 2020.
