Dr. Kriegshauser is a Licensed Psychologist and Director of the Kansas City Center for Anxiety Treatment, P.A. (KCCAT). Dr. Kriegshauser specializes in the treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and related disorders and works with the entire lifespan. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Missouri - Kansas City and a member of the Board of Governors of the Kansas Psychological Association.

The KCCAT team utilizes evidence-based treatments for children, teens, and adults, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure with Response/Ritual Prevention (ERP). The KCCAT team is also trained in Parent Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM). The KCCAT team is able to work together to provide tailored assessment and treatment, and offers care plans based on individual needs, including semi-intensive and intensive services, as well as televideo appointments. KCCAT’s mission is to provide effective, efficient, and evidence-based services.

Dr. Kriegshauser received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Saint Louis University, where she received broad clinical training but focused her clinical and research experiences on anxiety disorders. She completed an APA-accredited internship in Clinical and Health Psychology at Charleston Area Medical Center/West Virginia University School of Medicine and a two-year clinical research specialty fellowship at KCCAT. Dr. Kriegshauser’s clinical interests have focused on evidence-based treatments for anxiety, OCD, and associated health conditions in early adolescence through adults—including the treatment of eating disorders, insomnia, and broader executive functioning challenges. Her research interests and publications have included experimental psychopathology paradigms for anxiety, examination of factors contributing to effective treatment delivery and outcomes, and the impact of novel technologies in healthcare.

Dr. Kriegshauser is licensed in Kansas and Missouri, and holds a PSYPACT E. Passport, allowing her to practice telehealth in states participating in PSYPACT. All KCCAT team members are able to practice in Kansas and Missouri.
