The ADDRESSING Model (i.e., Age, Developmental disabilities, Disabilities acquired later, Religion, Ethnicity, Socioeconomic status, Sexual orientation, Indigenous heritage, National origin, Gender; Hays, 2008) is a framework that helps clinicians look inward to identify areas of privilege and marginalization they hold, in relation to their clients and how these similarities and differences impact the therapy process. This workshop will provide an overview of the ADDRESSING framework, with a specific focus on how it can increase culturally-competent assessment, case conceptualization, treatment, and supervision for selective mutism. This webinar is brought to you by the Selective Mutism Association and was made possible by a generous grant from the Gordon and Marilyn Macklin Foundation, Inc.
