Enhance your clinical toolkit for treating early childhood anxiety and selective mutism (SM) through this dynamic, interactive workshop on Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) adaptations. Focusing on the Coaching Approach behavior and Leading by Modeling (CALM) and PCIT-SM models, the workshop integrates didactic instruction, live demonstrations, video examples, role plays, and interactive activities to build a strong foundation in PCIT skills for anxiety. Participants will learn PRIDE skills, along with exposure-based strategies and parent coaching techniques to actively engage caregivers and support the generalization of gains beyond the therapy setting. Attendees will leave with a practical, hands-on toolkit to help caregivers shift from “rescuing” to “empowering” their child, transforming the parent-child relationship into a powerful driver of brave, flexible behavior.

This presentation targets psychologists, clinicians, trainees, and students, offering content at a beginner/intermediate level.
