Confident Kids Camp DC Metro, ages 4-8

Since 2019, our Confident Kids Camp in the DC Metro area has been offering an intensive 5-day program for children with Selective Mutism (SM). The camp is designed to encourage children to transfer their speaking abilities from the clinic to everyday situations. We create a fun environment that helps reduce fear through activities that mimic school experiences, such as circle time and recess, as well as during visits from special guests like therapy dogs and firefighters. As an excellent complement to individual therapy, our camp provides a boost of bravery just in time for the new school year. Each child is matched with their own adult counselor to support them in reaching their speech goals. Meanwhile, parents can take advantage of on-site training, live coaching, and the chance to connect with others. Our dedicated and skilled interdisciplinary team cannot wait for camp this summer!
