SUMMARY:Social Skills Groups
DESCRIPTION:During our 50-minute in person group sessions\, the following will be covered for pre-K-early elementary: listen and follow directions\, ask and use names\, greet friends\, share and give turns\, ask friends to play\, join ongoing games\, keep cool during play\, be a good sport\, transition to new play activities\, ask and give help\, use good volume control\, maintain personal boundaries.  \n\n\n\nFor our tween and teens (MS & HS) we will cover: how to use appropriate conversation skills\, find common interests by trading information\, appropriate use of humor\, enter and exit conversations between peers\, handle rejection\, teasing\, and bullying\, handle rumors and gossip\, be a good host/friends during get-togethers\, make phone calls to friends\, choose appropriate friends\, be a good sport\, handle arguments and disagreements\, change a bad reputation (for middle and high school groups). Each group will meet for a total of 10 sessions.  A screening appointment is required for new participants. \n\n\n\nFor more information or to register for a screening:Call Simply Psychology\, LLC on 602-428-2838

DESCRIPTION:Dates of Camps: January and July – registering now for both \n\n\n\nSimply Psychology is very excited to announce Our intensive 3-day camp which is staffed by trained clinicians\, and is aimed at helping your child feel more comfortable speaking to unfamiliar adults and peers AND with helping you learn and practice the skills you need to help your child be successful in uncomfortable situations. Kids/Teens will practice being brave with unfamiliar adults and students\, 1:1\, small group\, and large group. We will work through the communication bridge starting with easier tasks lower on the communication demand scale (like handover takeover\, etc.) and work our way up to level 3 (verbal) through fun interactive game play and real-world exposure role play and experiences.
