Dr. Shannan Edwards is a Clinical Psychologist who specializes in the delivery of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) services including Parent Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM). She was trained by Dr. Shelley Avny, a leading expert in the field of selective mutism, and has experience treating children, teens, and adults of all ages. In addition to providing direct selective mutism treatment, Dr. Edwards is adept at collaborating with schools, parents, and other medical providers so that therapy gains are generalized, such that clients are able to use their brave talking skills across settings. Other areas of clinical focus include social anxiety, specific phobias, OCD, medical/health anxiety, grief and loss, mood disorders (depression), adjustment issues, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and social skill deficits.
