Tory Lincoln, PhD is a clinical child and adolescent psychologist at Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle’s Child Anxiety Center. Dr. Lincoln draws from her experience as a teacher and training as a school psychologist when working with children, adolescents, and families with a range of issues. She builds on clients’ strengths while utilizing evidence-based interventions to reduce distress and increase functioning. Dr. Lincoln enjoys collaborating with families, schools, as well as important individuals and systems in her clients’ lives to optimize therapeutic gains.

Dr. Lincoln specializes in the assessment and treatment of a variety of anxiety including OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, trichotillomania, and school refusal; however, the treatment of selective mutism is a particular interest. Dr. Lincoln takes a cognitive-behavioral approach to treating anxiety and often incorporates families into the individual treatment of youth. She enjoys working with parents individually to help them gain the skills and confidence to more effectively support their children and manage their children’s behaviors. Dr. Lincoln received training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM) from Dr. Steven Kurtz and works with children with selective mutism and their families in outpatient, intensive outpatient, and group intensive outpatient therapy formats. She enjoys working with educators and assisting families in collaborating with school personnel to ensure that clients are emotionally, behaviorally, and academically supported at school.

Dr. Lincoln received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Yale University. Upon graduation, she taught middle school science in central Texas. Dr. Lincoln earned her Master’s degree in educational psychology and PhD in school psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Her research examined the effect of neuropsychological functioning on the relationship between anxiety and disruptive behavior problems in children and adolescents. She completed her predoctoral internship in child clinical psychology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center and her postdoctoral fellowship at the Child Study and Treatment Center through the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Lincoln is a licensed psychologist in the state of Washington.
