Dr. Stephanie Kriesberg is a licensed psychologist with over twenty years’ experience helping children, teens, and adults overcome anxiety. Dr. Kriesberg especially loves working with children with selective mutism and their families because there are treatments that work. She works closely with parents and schools, in addition to the child, to create individualized, motivating therapy plans.
As an experienced psychologist, and parent, Dr. Kriesberg brings deep knowledge about child development and the demands of parenting to her work. She trained in the Think Kids/Collaborative Problem Solving Model at Massachusetts General Hospital, and is trained in the use of clinical hypnosis to treat a variety of anxiety- related disorders.
Dr. Kriesberg received her Doctor of Psychology Degree from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University. In addition to being a member of the Selective Mutism Association, she is also a member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and the New England Society for Clinical Hypnosis.
