Kristin is a Speech-Language Pathologist who especially enjoys working with young adults as well as families with young children to support them in reaching their communication goals. A coaching model is her intervention method of choice, helping clients to gain knowledge and to practice skills needed to feel competent using learned strategies throughout their typical daily lives. She believes in the importance of connecting with each person to build a trusting relationship and develop an agreed upon plan for practice.

Her professional areas of special interest include selective mutism, stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech, social communication, delayed language, early literacy, reading comprehension, and executive functions. She has provided Speech-Language Pathology services for over 25 years to individuals ranging from toddlers through adults in a wide variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, early intervention in homes and daycare, elementary, middle, and high schools. Each client inspires Kristin to grow, learn, and continuously adds to her wealth of knowledge and experience. Through her continuing education and transdisciplinary work with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators, Kristin has developed a holistic lens through which to view the whole person.

She has completed extensive training/mentoring to become a certified Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapist and a Basic DIRFloortime Provider, has training in Hanen’s More Than Words, PROMPTs for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets, Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI), and Youth Mental Health First Aid. Kristin is the founder of Expressions Speech-Language and Communication Services, LLC, and provides remote and in-person services with flexible scheduling.

A love of learning extends to private time where Kristin explores the outdoors with her family, visiting national parks, gardening, biking, and snow shoeing. She is an ardent reader who enjoys traveling with the characters on the pages of a fascinating story.
