Dr. Wade has extensive experience in providing evidence-based treatments for children and adolescents with a variety of emotional and behavioral concerns, including selective mutism, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, and autism. She has advanced training in assessments for developmental disorders, and has experience leading social skills groups for young children. Dr. Wade strongly believes that clinical work should be a collaborative endeavor and works closely with the families of her clients. She strives to create an active and engaging therapeutic experience that builds upon clients’ existing strengths and is also committed to working collaboratively with other professionals involved in a child and family’s life to ensure treatment coordination.

Although Dr. Wade’s past training includes time at UVA and Duke, she remains an avid Tar Heel fan, having received a bachelor’s degree from UNC. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, trying new restaurants, and traveling to the NC mountains where she was raised.
