Annie is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with 12 years of clinical experience. She graduated from West Virginia University with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Annie had the opportunity to study under nationally renowned Dennis Ruscello Ph.D.-SLP during her time at WVU.
Annie has worked with individuals across the country including New England, West Virginia, Atlanta, and South-Central Los Angeles. She follows a holistic philosophy and enjoys working closely with family members, school teams, and other service providers to create a collaborative model of support for the individuals she serves. Though Annie has worked with many populations, her particular area of clinical interest is selective mutism.
Annie is the founder of Annie DiVello Consulting, LLC and she is a Selective Mutism Association (SMA) State Coordinator for NH, ME & MA. She provides a variety of selective mutism services to local school teams and also works directly with families who have a child(ren) with SM.
Annie loves working with all ages and has experience working with children nine months – 18 years of age, and with adults 20 -104 years of age. She is passionate about her field and about helping people to communicate. Annie feels that the ability to communicate is a beautiful gift and the foundation of human connection.
In addition, Annie is a certified yoga instructor and is also trained in Reiki. She lives with her husband, Gary and their rescue puppy, Quincy, in Newmarket NH. In her free time, Annie enjoys reading books on mindfulness, alternative medicine, running at Mount Agamenticus, practicing yoga, and watching movies with her husband.
