Dr. Alison L. Miller & Associates are licensed psychologists in Lutherville, MD with expertise in the treatment of anxiety disorders across the life span. Their particular areas of specialty include Selective Mutism, OCD, and school refusal.
Drs. Miller, Sheehan, and Brager provide comprehensive intervention for children with SM, including direct work with the child, parent training, and both intervention and consultation with schools. Dr. Lisa Sheehan has experience serving children, adolescents and adults as a licensed psychologist since 1998. She has provided therapy and psycho-educational testing services in a variety of settings including community mental health centers, independent and special education school settings, and private practice. As a result, she has had the opportunity to work with individuals presenting with a wide range of concerns related to learning disabilities, problems with emotional and behavioral regulation (e.g. anxiety, depression, ADHD, high functioning Autism Spectrum), and difficulties in social relationships.While Dr. Sheehan enjoys working with individuals with a wide variety of presenting issues, she has a special interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety-related symptoms across the life span, including selective mutism.
Dr. Sarah Brager is a licensed psychologist who has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, outpatient and inpatient hospitals, and within community mental health. She has experience working with children and adolescents struggling with anxiety and mood concerns, behavior management, and attentional or executive functioning deficits. Dr. Brager specializes in selective mutism, concussion recovery, and adjustment to life stressors, including divorce. In addition to her work in private practice, she serve as a consultant performing admissions testing at a Baltimore area private school and provided training and supervision to graduate students pursuing doctoral degrees in clinical psychology.
