SUMMARY:Webinar- How to Help Your Child Cope with Anxiety: A Look at SPACE Training for Parents and Caregivers
DESCRIPTION:Live Webinar with Q & A! Registration is free! \n\n\n\nSpeaker: Eli Penela\, PhD \n\n\n\nThis program is intended for parents and caregivers. \n\n\n\nFor more information and to register\, click here: \n\n\n\nhttps://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Bt5ta4ZmQgOrFQyYpZL2LA \n\n\n\nChildren with selective mutism often struggle with anxiety in different situations. They might feel nervous at friends’ birthday parties\, when doing presentations or tests at school\, and when trying out new things in the community (e.g.\, starting a new extra-curricular activity\, or checking out an event at the library). When you see your child struggling with anxiety – what is the best way to help them? Navigating these situations can be challenging! Join Dr. Eli Penela for a discussion about helpful strategies based on the SPACE (Supportive Parenting of Anxious Childhood Emotions) approach. SPACE is an effective\, research-backed treatment program that was developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at Yale University for parents of children with anxiety. During this presentation you will learn effective tools that will help you feel confident when helping your child cope with anxiety. For further information on the SPACE program\, please visit https://www.spacetreatment.net/. \n\n\n\nSpeaker: Eli Penela\, PhD \n\n\n\nDr. Eli Penela is a bilingual licensed psychologist who earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Miami. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals\, such as Child Development and Infancy\, and she has presented at various national conferences. SUMMARY:Weekly Virtual SM / Social Anxiety Group for Ages 9 to 12 in NY\, NJ\, and CT
DESCRIPTION:Anxiety can keep kids stuck — quiet in class\, hesitant in groups\, or quick to withdraw from situations that feel uncertain. Each session offers practical tools\, peer connection\, and hands-on coaching in a safe and supportive space. As they take small\, intentional steps forward\, pre-teens build the confidence to speak up\, join in\, and engage more freely in everyday life\, without letting anxiety call the shots. \n\n\n\nVisit squareonenyc.com to learn more! \n\n\n\nFee: $200 per session
