SUMMARY:Therapeutic Support Group for Caregivers of Individuals with SM and Anxiety
DESCRIPTION:Our 1-hour virtual support group for caregivers of children and teens with Selective Mutism and anxiety disorders offers a compassionate space to focus on one’s well-being as a caregiver. The group sessions focus on fostering self-compassion\, reducing guilt and shame\, and connecting with other caregivers through the shared experience of raising a child experiencing anxiety. Participants will meet other caregivers experiencing similar feelings and experiences\, which can enhance resilience in caregivers. \n\n\n\nJoin us virtually every Thursday at 6:30 PM EST! \n\n\n\nParticipants do not have to be patients of the SMart Center. Registration is $15 per session\, per attendee. Participants can choose to be on camera and/or use the chat feature – whatever is most comfortable. \n\n\n\nDakota Hornak\, dhornak@selectivemutismcenter.org
