SUMMARY:BraveWave - Week Long SM Intensive in West Los Angeles\, CA for Ages 3 to 9
DESCRIPTION:BraveWave is a week-long selective mutism summer camp based in Los Angeles\, CA and is open to children ages 3-9. Each child is paired 1:1 with a trained counselor for the entirety of the program to provide individually tailored support. This camp aims to simulate the school environment\, as we know many kids with SM tend to struggle in this environment; we also incorporate plenty of talking-focused games and activities\, a Scavenger Hunt\, Show and Tell\, etc. BraveWave programming also includes parent and teacher training\, as well as a follow-up report documenting each child’s progress\, which can be shared with the child’s teachers to support their progress into the upcoming school year. SUMMARY:2025 Summer Intensive Camp - Maryland/DC Ages 4 to 9
DESCRIPTION:Kids Out Loud is a 5-day therapeutic camp experience that provides intensive behavioral treatment for young children diagnosed with selective mutism. We strive to help children practice and build confidence in brave speech and social interaction\, getting a jump start before the new school year. Each child receives a 1:1 trained counselor that works on individualized goals\, including peer-to-peer interactions\, speech in small and large groups\, presenting during structured activities\, social skills during play\, and self-advocacy. Engaging and hands-on activities include group games\, scavenger hunts\, arts and crafts\, music\, and special events. We create a school-like experience through circle time\, center work\, and show and tell.
