SUMMARY:Mighty Mouth Kids Camp in Sarasota\, FL (MMK-SRQ) for Ages 4 to 10
DESCRIPTION:Mighty Mouth Kids Camp- Sarasota (MMK-SRQ) is a 5-day SM camp based on the MMK model developed by Dr. Steven Kurtz. Our practice owner Dr. Kate Gibson was the Director of Training at Kurtz Psychology from 2019-2022\, assisting with planning and implementation of numerous rounds of MMK during that time. Dr Gibson went on to help bring the MMK model to Caring Cove in Chatham\, New Jersey in 2022 and to her own practice in Sarasota\, FL in 2023. Our camp replicates a school/camp setting with a 1:1 counselor to camper ratio. Campers will practice brave talking in indoor and outdoor group play and in structured activities. They will have the opportunity to enjoy snacks and lunch with peers\, to practice raising their hand and participating\, and asking for help in a classroom setting. Campers will do 3 different presentations in front of the group over the course of the camp week\, and will ask and answer questions about the presentations. Campers will practice speaking in community settings (e.g.\, pizza lunch & shaved ice truck). They will also attend a field trip. The camp week is Monday July 21st through Friday July 25th\, 9 AM – 2 PM. \n\n\n\nThe week prior to camp (Tuesday July 15th to Friday July 18th) is reserved for lead-in sessions to get kiddos ready for camp and will be scheduled separately for each child. \n\n\n\nParent training and live parent coaching are an integral part of our camp experience. Parent training takes place virtually July 10th and 11th from 11 AM to 1 PM Eastern. \n\n\n\nFor more information visit our website at: https://www.childtherapysrq.com/selectivemutism.html \n\n\n\nFor additional questions or to register please contact our Administrative Coordinators at 941-357-4090 or info@childtherapysrq.com (Attn: MMK-SRQ).

SUMMARY:5-Day Summer Camp for Younger Kids Ages 3 to 6 in NYC
DESCRIPTION:Clare Loganhello@squareonenyc.com \n\n\n\nMighty Mouth Kids (MMK) Camp is the 5-day\, group-based intensive therapy program for children with Selective Mutism (SM)\, originally developed by Dr. Steven Kurtz. The program now continues under the leadership of Dr. Zohra Chahal and her team at Square One Psychology\, with Dr. Kurtz remaining closely involved to ensure that the MMK legacy continues seamlessly in its new home. \n\n\n\nEach camp session offers structured\, immersive treatment that helps children make meaningful progress in a short span of time. The intensive model allows campers to build and sustain brave momentum in a way that’s difficult to achieve through traditional\, once-weekly therapy alone. For families seeking expert care\, MMK also delivers exceptional value — offering the equivalent of nearly six months of therapy in just one week\, at a fraction of the cumulative cost. \n\n\n\nEach camp session includes:27.5 hours of group-based behavioral treatmentDaily Report Cards (DRCs) and brief check-ins at pick-up with Dr. ChahalA 2-hour virtual parent training following campA 30-minute individualized feedback call following camp \n\n\n\nTo ensure each camper receives truly individualized support\, every child is paired 1:1 with a trained counselor\, and each camp week is capped at just 8 children. Dr. Chahal works closely with parents in advance to identify each child’s unique “brave talking” goals\, then ensures that each camp day includes targeted\, meaningful exposure opportunities tailored to their specific needs. \n\n\n\nCampers practice speaking across a range of carefully chosen classroom and community settings — from sharing during Show & Tell and playing cooperatively with peers\, to answering a teacher’s question or ordering from a server at a local ice cream shop. Over the course of the week\, children build confidence speaking to more people\, in more places\, and across more varied activities.Visit squareonenyc.com to learn more! \n\n\n\nFees:Single session: $3\,500 (returning clients) / $4\,100 (new clients – includes initial assessment)Both sessions: $6\,000 (returning clients) / $6\,600 (new clients – includes initial assessment)
