SUMMARY:Selective Mutism Parent Training and Skills Group on Zoom
DESCRIPTION:This group is open to parents/caregivers in all states. \n\n\n\nThis group is for parents and caregivers who want to support their kids of all ages with Selective Mutism (SM) in hopes of building a supportive group environment where parents can gain skills and connect with others who have similar experiences. \n\n\n\nWho will be leading this workshop? \n\n\n\nThis group will be led by Olivia Rivera\, LCSW. Olivia is a therapist who currently treats children with SM\, and provides parents and school staff with the training and skills to support these children. Olivia worked for 10 years in the field of education in grades K-12 and brings this breadth of experience to her work.  \n\n\n\nGroup Topics Include: \n\n\n\n\nSelective Mutism 101 Skills \n\n\n\nFading in other children and adults\n\n\n\nCommunity exposures\n\n\n\nSchool Advocacy\n\n\n\nPeer communication and Playdates\n\n\n\n\nFee: $850 for all 6 sessions  \n\n\n\n *Need-based scholarships available.
