SUMMARY:FIU Brave Bunch Summer Treatment Program Ages 4 to 10 in Miami\, FL
DESCRIPTION:The FIU Brave Bunch Summer Treatment Program is a week-long intensive group program for children ages 4-10 who have been diagnosed with selective mutism or have difficulty speaking in social situations at school\, in public\, with unfamiliar people\, and/or other contexts. The FIU Brave Bunch Program simulates a classroom setting and provides guided opportunities for children to interact with new children and adults\, participate in common school activities (e.g.\, morning meeting\, circle time\, show and tell\, group projects)\, engage in field trips (e.g.\, to the mall)\, and play socializing games that promote verbal participation (‘brave talking’) and spontaneous speaking. \n\n\n\nFor more information\, please visit our website at https://mint.fiu.edu/get-help/services/brave-bunch/ or contact the MINT program at mint@fiu.edu or at 305-348-7836

SUMMARY:Selective Mutism Summer Camp Groups in Berkeley\, CA for Ages 4 to 9
DESCRIPTION:West Coast Therapy and Wellness \n\n\n\nWeek 1: June 24-28\, 10am-12:230pm PST \n\n\n\nWeek 2: July 15 – 10\, 10am-12:230pm PST \n\n\n\nWeek 3: July 22-26\,10am-12:230pm PST \n\n\n\nWeek 4: July 29 – August 2nd\, 10am-12:230pm PST \n\n\n\nOur  Summer Group Intensive is a 1-week program designed to give children practice talking in a school environment with new peers and adults. Throughout the week\, children receive support to communicate and participate in activities they would encounter on a typical school day. Our program is led by Christy Tadros\, who has several years of experience running similar programs. She was trained as a counselor in the Brave Buddies Program at the Child Mind Institute\, and worked with Dr. Steven Kurtz for several years\, co-leading the Mighty Mouth Kids Program in NYC. SUMMARY:Webinar ADHD and Anxiety: Understanding Similarities and Differences

It will provide an explanation of how these common co-existing conditions can present in children. It will also give a comprehensive overview on treatment strategies for ADHD including support at home and school as well as medication management. \n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\nRupal Upadhyay\, MD\, FAAP \n\n\n\nAssociates in Pediatrics \n\n\n\nDr. Rupal is a Board-Certified Pediatrician in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago where she lives with her husband\, 3 children\, and adorable puppy. She completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Chicago\, in Chicago\, IL. She then went on to The University of Illinois in Chicago for medical school. She did her training in General Pediatrics at Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn\, IL. Dr. Rupal is in private practice with Associates in Pediatrics and is affiliated with St. Alexius Medical Center\, Advocate Sherman Hospital\, and Northwest Community Healthcare. \n\n\n\nEleanor Ezell\, LCSW \n\n\n\nEleanor Ezell\, LCSW\, is a licensed therapist in Tennessee and is the Founder and Clinical Director at Child and Family Therapy Collective based in Nashville\, TN. She has extensive experience providing evidence-based therapy to children and young teens who struggle with selective mutism\, anxiety\, ADHD and disruptive behavior disorders\, and a wide range of developmental delays. She attended New York University for graduate training where she trained with and worked very closely with Dr. Steven Kurtz over 5 years treating children with selective mutism and related disorders. She completed a two-year Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship at The University of Mississippi Medical Center where she also \n\n\n\nBrittany Bice-Urbach\, PhD \n\n\n\nDepartment of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin \n\n\n\nDr. Bice-Urbach is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin and has been working as a clinical psychologist at the Child Development Center\, a developmental clinic through Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin\, in the School Performance Program. She completed her graduate training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School Psychology Program\, her internship at Illinois State University’s Psychological Services Center\, and her Post-Doctoral fellowship at Connections Day School\, a therapeutic day school in Illinois. Dr. Bice-Urbach has a specialty in best practices in providing telebehavioral health services.
