These groups are designed to target children’s brave talking goals around peer-to-peer engagement\, speaking in front of a group\, and behavioral group participation. Groups run for an hour each week and are crafted to build continuity and help the child build their brave talking practice in an environment outside of a one-on-one clinical session. There is a trained adult for every 1-2 children in the group.

SUMMARY:Virtual SM Group Ages 5-10 for 6 Weeks
DESCRIPTION:Parent and Child Psychological Services- Sarasota\, FL 941-357-4090info@childtherapysrq.com \n\n\n\nOur next round of virtual SM/Social Anxiety group for kids ages 5-10 begins 1/16/25. Group members will practice brave talking with adults and peers while doing structured activities. Many activities will simulate things that are done in the classroom setting (morning meeting\, presentations). Kids will build brave talking muscles while doing fun activities! There will be a minimum of 2 pre-group appointments: Parent screener and child fade-in (more than 1 fade-in may be needed). There will be 6 group sessions all should be attended. A caregiver should be present for each group session to help support the child’s participation.
