SUMMARY:CommuniCamp™
DESCRIPTION:CommuniCamp™ is 3+ Day program treating Selective Mutism\, Social Anxiety\, and extreme shyness by using Social Communication Anxiety Treatment® (S-CAT®)\, the evidence-based treatment approach created by world-renowned Selective Mutism expert\, Dr. Elisa Shipon-Blum with over 30 years’ experience.  \n\n\n\nCommuniCamp™ consists of two concurrent programs:  \n\n\n\n1) Intensive Group Treatment for children and teens (3-17+ years old)  \n\n\n\nOur professionally trained counselors and lead clinicians will work directly with campers to instill social confidence\, increase communication\, and facilitate the learning of coping skills necessary for school\, the real world\, and home. This is conducted through therapeutic activities\, exercises\, and strategies according to each camper’s age\, individual needs and baseline stages on the Social Communication Bridge©. 15+ hours \n\n\n\n2) All-day Parent Education\, Training & Support \n\n\n\nOur SM experts will closely explain S-CAT® tools and strategies for parent implementation\, answer questions\, offer guidance\, educate on a variety of SM related topics\, facilitate Q&A with former patients\, and foster a sense of community. 15+ hours \n\n\n\nSchedule \n\n\n\nFriday\, 6:30PM – 7:30PM 1 hour orientation and pizza meet & greet \n\n\n\nSaturday\, 9:00AM – 2:00PM Group Treatment and Parent Training Sessions \n\n\n\nSunday\, 9:00AM – 2:00PM Group Treatment and Parent Training Sessions \n\n\n\nMonday\, 9:00AM – 2:00PM Group Treatment and Parent Training Sessions \n\n\n\nFor \n\n\n\n\nAges 3-17 (exceptions made for 18- and 19-year-olds) and Parents of children/teens with Selective Mutism\, social anxiety\, and extreme shyness.\n\n\n\nFor new patients\, a Selective Mutism Evaluation is required to enroll in CommuniCamp™\n\n\n\nAll levels of communication are welcome! If so\, your child or teen may benefit from our small\, targeted group therapy programs. Groups are designed to be a fun and engaging experience where your child can acquire and apply new skills in a safe place. Participants will work with others in a variety of group activities and games\, engage in discussion\, have time to practice skills learned\, increase their confidence and have opportunities for self-reflection.

SUMMARY:Guided Virtual Get-Togethers for Ages 10-18
DESCRIPTION:Dakota Hornak\, dhornak@selectivemutismcenter.org \n\n\n\nOur 1-hour Guided Virtual Get-Togethers are a place for tweens and teens with social anxiety or Selective Mutism to build social comfort\, learn and practice evidence-based strategies\, and meet peers who share in your teen’s experience. With facilitation from a trained clinician\, attendees participate in planned games and activities that promote social engagement and initiation while in a fun\, comfortable\, and controlled environment. Join us virtually every Monday at 6 PM EST! Sessions are open to ages 10-18. Participants do not have to be patients of the SMart Center. Registration is $50 per session\, per attendee. Participants can choose to be on camera and/or use the chat feature – whatever is most comfortable. Parent participation is optional.
