S-CAT® Summer Strategies 102: Planning for a Progressive Summer – Webinar

Summer has arrived! Join this webinar, hosted by Jennifer Brittingham, M.A., Lead Clinical Counselor at the SMart Center, and learn strategies based on Dr. Elisa Shipon-Blum’s Social Communication Anxiety Treatment® (S-CAT®) to instill coping skills and maintain progression during the summer months. During this training session, Jennifer will discuss how Selective Mutism presents differently for children and teens over the summer. For example, is your loved one a talkative or timid traveler? Jennifer teaches you tips to help both with comfort and communication and how to guiding interaction with those your loved one might not be as comfortable with, e.g. new peers, friends and relatives and managing these folks’ expectations of your loved one. You’ll learn how to managing expectations for speech during summer traveling, e.g. going on vacation (new & different environment) and she’ll give you SMart Tips for visiting public pools, beaches, and water parks.
