Dr. Bergman is Associate Director of the UCLA Childhood OCD, Anxiety, and Tic Disorders Program and Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA. Dr. Bergman received her Ph.D. in 1995 from the UCLA Department of Psychology. She joined the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 1995 and continues to be involved in several child anxiety related research and clinical activities in the department. In 1995, Dr. Bergman was the recipient of a National Institute of Health B-Start award for the study of the prevalence of Selective Mutism. She is the author of many research and book articles, is an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals, and presents at national conferences on the topic of selective mutism and other child anxiety related disorders. Dr. Bergman is a Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and a member of the American Psychological Association and American Association of Behavior Therapy (AABT).
