Elizabeth’s focus of her therapeutic practice is to support families with children of selective mutism along with other anxiety disorders, depression, grief/loss and improving parent and child relationships. Utilizing a multimodal approach as well as a team approach, reducing anxiety and movement from the non-verbal to the verbal communication realm are the goals. Evidenced- based treatment interventions include utilizing child-centered play therapy, art and sandtray therapy techniques, family psychoeducation, and school-based intervention. Treatment involves a team approach with the child, family, school, and community and treating professionals.
