Educational Meeting for Parents on Selective Mutism
We had a very informative meeting with parents, teachers, and other professionals last month. We welcome new parents, professionals, and previous attendees to discuss new topics, and to cover questions they may have.

Goal of Seminar: To describe Selective Mutism, to present the current research and scientific understanding of this disorder, and to introduce treatment for S.M., including direct school intervention with a team approach with teachers, parents, school personnel, therapist, and child. The format of this seminar will allow for participants to ask general questions about S.M. Dr. Joffe will also address questions that participants submit in advance via email to address topics and questions from attendees. In this Seminar, Dr. Joffe will explain how treatment for S.M. is conducted based on empirically-based research on Anxiety Disorders.
